Anyone else think that the bass is shy on this track?

I enjoy the track but want to keep EQing that bass line. Is it my equipment or just the way it's mastered?


Hmm, I suppose this could turn into an irresolvable equipment thread, which isn't the intention. We'll give it a go anyway

I took a listen at On the Run, and I don't think the bass line is meant to be any more prominent. This is Natalie Imbruglia, not Massive Attack

It would make the song different, change its focus.

Vagarach, thanks for checking it out. In some cases (notably earlier in the track), some of the notes are on the edge of hearing for me (with the overall volume mid-quiet). I can tell there's an instrument there but it may as well not be.

So maybe it is my equipment. If so, it's seriously out of balance. Or I'm a basshead and didn't realise!

I'll have to try to get my mitts on some more kit. And new ears
