i'm weak!!! yet another pair of cans: HD201

less than 2 weeks after i posted this:

i end up buying a pair of HD201s today

it was so hard to resist because:
1) before today, HD201s (to my knowledge) were not available in canada at all
2) they were only $21.99 CDN dollars ($25 TOTAL)
3) the free shipping deal from the store i purchased at could have ended at any moment
4) coz everybody else i told about the deal was buying them, i felt it was my duty to those who heeded my advice to buy it.

5) peer pressure (even though i was the original poster)

im currently using Shure E2Cs. what are some advantages of HD201 over the IEMs?

They're relatively compact, but have little isolation. For portable use, a HD202 or K26P or eH250 would thus be better suited.

You're weak for buying $20 cans? in the past six weeks I've bought HD650's, sold my HD600's, got the HF-1's, a NAD CD Player, and all sorts of connectors and wire for custom IC's and whatnot.

Edit: Nevermind, I followed your link and found out it's from Tigerdirect.ca. I was all excited because of the free shipping, unfortunately in the fine print they don't ship to some "remote" locations starting with certain postal codes one of which is mine so the shipping cost is almost as much as the headphones. I guess I'll pass until I find something a bit more reasonable.
