So after much trial and error, I'm very happy with my current setup.
I am running Roon into a mRendu into the Senn HDVD800 then balanced into the HD800. Unfortunately, my wife doesn't like me falling asleep to them because of the sound bleed.
I've tried a pair of Massdrop x00 amped by the HDVD and they are ok, but I don't get the same smile on my face.
I'm considering going to a closed can, but the high impedance of the HDVD gives me pause. I'd prefer to keep some of what I have now ($$$$), but wonder if there is a good fit.
I've also tried sleeping with IEMs (A&K Layla), but for whatever reason I don't find it as comfortable.
I listen to pop, female vocalists and some country. Nothing very hard rock and no classical.
Any thoughts?
