It's getting ridiculous here, now the mayor of San Francisco wants to ban bottled water!

I have no problems with that, just make tap water taste like bottled and we're all set, oh wait, that'll never happen.

I anticipate California will try to ban alcohol within the next 5 years.

I think it's time for me to move someplace else.

that's ******** and you know it. the mayor wants to stop city agencies from buying bottled water... in favor that they use the water the city already had (from hetch hetchy). it's not a "radical" move, and will save the city money in the long run.

Government and politics stink no matter where you go. Perhaps relocating to a different part of california would be better for you?

I'm happy in the south-bay, but I don't think I could tolerate life in SF. I would move to So-Cal or San Diego in a heartbeat if my family and in-laws weren't here.

I hate the politics here but since we can not discuss I'll just say it is nice to be driving distance to Tahoe, nice beaches and all the greatness of So Cal.

I just heard this morning that CA was rated #1 worst state in the nation for traffic... why am I not surprised!

Please get the facts straight first....the mayor of SF wants to ban the purchase of bottled water for/by city workers. His reasoning is that the tap water of the SF water system tasted just the same and is as clean (if not cleaner) as bottled water. In fact, SF's water system is so clean that it actually markets its own bottled water....

You do realize that one of the biggest selling bottled water is actually sourced from tap water, right?

You are in a primo spot for camping proximity! Where are you Auburn?

I'm down in the suburbia of the East Bay... Martinez to be exact.

It's still ****ing ridiculous, taste is subjective. I can understand him not wanting the city to pay for bottled water, but using the term "ban" makes it sound like he's stopping people from drinking and/or buying the stuff.

Cameron Park, on the 50 corridor.

That's a dangerous path to do down when you start passing laws on what people can spend their money on... especially when the only remaining option is to put more money into goods supplied by the same city passing the laws.
