They never seem to last long. I always get that intermittant bad connection in the wire.
I like Koss for that reason: for <$10 you can return them for repair, for the lifetime, I think.

Thinking about getting the SR60: how sturdy are they? What are my options if/when they go bad? I though I heard something about a ~$25 repair option or something, that could get spendy. Maybe I should get the well regarded PortaPro instead?

Is it only me? Do others find the phones inevitably get that maddening loose wire?

I've only had the intermittent connection thingy in lower-end phones. (earbuds and my koss clip-ons). I've had three different grados, and this problem has never occured, two of which I used for portable. (my ears are paying for it . . .)

I dont know if you like IEM, but my sures are tough as snot, and I throw them and a lot. I have heard that Shure isnt too picky about their two year warranty, they dont really check how long youve had them

If you are hard on things and like regular headphones, Koss is a great choice, because, yes, they do have a Lifetime warranty on them.
