I'm finally done. For good.

I heard them at a meet, and from that point forward, I knew they were "it".

Ever since I heard them, I have been selling things and saving/scrapping up money like mad. And now, my goal has been reached, and I am done.

We all say that, then for some reason we find outselves getting more and more stuff.

That being said, I sure hope the GS1000 for me will be an end, but I doubt it. Still want to give the Omega II a shot.

I would also like to add, at the meet, I directly compared the HP1000s to the RS-1, RS-2, PS-1, GS1000, L3000, W5000 and a number of other headphones as well.

The HP1000 was my top choice in every comparison. I was never on the edge thinking "oh, I like them, but I also like XXX just as well". There was just a perfect, magical tone to their sound.

I was quite surprised to hear, but both the RS-1 and RS-2 paled in comparison to the HP1000. Almost to the extent of the only words I could find to describe their sound would be negative. The L3000, GS1000 and PS-1 all had their strengths, and the comparison to them was not as tipped to the HP-2 as it was with the RS-1 and RS-2, but it was in it's favor on every song without a shadow of a doubt.

And keep in mind, I did not walk into this meet with any kind of pre-existing bias for the HP1000, in fact they were pretty much in the back of my head before I heard them. I was fully expecting the PS-1 or L3000 to reign supreme.

The first thought that entered my mind when I listened to the HP1000 was ".... ........... .....holy crap"
