I'm a newbie, both in the world of audiophilic experience and to this community.

Like the title suggests, I am completely new to this wonderful community and I would like to make this first thread of mine to ask the pros and the experienced audio mages what should be my first setup, do I even need a setup , are there headphones that'll start me off without the need for an amp and DAC and on and on. I ask because I am a student with an extremely tight budget.

You can definitely get good-sounding headphones or earphones that don't require an amp to drive.

To get the most useful suggestions, what's your budget, do you care about open or closed back (go closed back if you need to block out sound around you), is there any particular kind of sound you're looking for?

And what's your usage? Desktop with a PC? Living room arm chair? Portable? Office? Etc.

It would help if you listed a budget?
What sources (computer or smartphone or DAP, etc) will you use?
Do the headphones need to block noise?
What type of music do you like?

Right, forgive me for not providing more details..
My budget is around 200 USD, I live in India so 15,000 Inr .
I don't quite have a favorite genre of music . I enjoy any kind of music, except mumble rap of course.
I think to start out I would prefer a closed back to an open primary because I don't want to disturb while commuting or while in public nor be disturbed by those noise, that said I'm not looking for anc.
I have a pair of Beyer's custom street, but I am considering either trading it for a takstar pro 82 or buying a shp9500 to experience some of the wide sound stage.
I'm also not sure on what I want to run it on in the sense I don't have a preference - if I'm on my PC I play music through that , if I'm using my mobile I play through that, I'm not particular about my source.
