Nusystems are holding £190 of my money indefinately. There is absolutely no issue what-so-ever with the returns (two headphones, one faulty, one awful), they've inspected, checked, confirmed, processed, etc, they have my bank details, no problems there. Everything is fine except they can't tell me when exactly they will refund the money. It's been almost three weeks (two weeks for one of the headphones) and their excuse is "we refund in batches". Todays response was "sometime in the next thirty days"..... for (their words) a priority refund!!!

I've had troubles with them before, concerning delivery. They would sometimes get my address and/or name wrong and pretend it's my fault, give me a lot of hassle and try to charge me to rectify the mistake. I ignored all that since they have some headphones pretty cheap and I always got them in the end.

Has anyone had similar trouble with this company? Or could give me some advice on how to speed them up? I really need that money soon.

Thanks

I ordered a set of pro headphones from them on dec 28th and paid by paypal. Ten days later, having seen nothing from them, I wrote customer support. They claimed I had selected a wrong shipping method (citylink and not European delivery) and asked for my address again. Nothing happened. I wrote again and they asked me to fax adress confirmation. Since then I have heard nothing. Looking at my PayPal receipt the amount paid corresponds to European delivery, so they are obviously not telling the truth.
When I log in to the website, it claims I have not paid, although I have a Paypal receipt and have seen no cashback; they NEVER pick up the phone or answer mails sent to their email form or orders@nusystems.co.uk. They seems to be good old fashioned frauds, and I highly recommend you to go elsewhere for your gear. Henrik, Denmark

Hi. Got your PM, and I'm sorry to hear you're having problems.

Unfortunately I don't have good news. I had to contact my bank and report them for fraud. After the bank contacted them, I got my money the same week.

I would recommend starting the Paypal dispute process and if you don't hear anything after a week, escalate to a claim. DONT forget about it, the process is NOT automatic. Paypal will ask for your response multiple times, miss one and the claim is over and you lose. Keep on top of it and you will get your money back.

To anyone else thinking of purchase with Nusystems/iHeadphones, I would advise against it. Most of the time, transactions will go fine and you can save a bundle. But when it goes wrong, it's a struggle!

I've bought from them a couple of times with no issues - but it's when things go wrong that you need to know what the company is like.

I had similar comments about batch refunds from Russ Andrews when I tried & returned their Senn HD650 cable - had to chase them for weeks. it does not inspire confidence when a retailer says things like 'the refund should go through soon' or 'I think we'll be doing yours in a few days'.

Hopefully yours will get refunded soon.

I am also having the same issues with Nusystems.
I ordered from Studioground, a division of Nusystems as is iheadphone.

My order shows as 'Pending' on their website.
I have been calling them daily, leaving several messages as well as sending emails, enquiring on the order as delivery was due a long time ago.
I have not got any reply to either emails or phone messages.

I have got the phone number for the building where they are based - New Brook House - 01158 758 800.
The receptionist claims that they are not authorised to put calls through the Nusystems office or to supply a direct phone number.
The only number I have for them is 0870 350 4500. After four rings it goes on to answer machine.

They haven't charged me for the order, but they have my CC details nevertheless, so I would be keen to cancel the order if they are not able to supply the item.

Has anyone got an alternative means of contacting them?
Any advice from previous customers on how to resolve the matter also welcome.
Thanks

I have had the misfortune of two transactions with this totally inept company. First time I was charged twice because of some "technical error" which was refunded. The second time I had some cans arrive broken and RMA'd them a return. I had no end of problems and lies from different people telling me different stories. The final straw was when I was told my returned phones hadn't arrived and should file a claim with Royal Mail. Lucky for me I had returned them recorded delivery and got tracking and pictorial signed for proof they had been delivered 10 days earlier. They still came up with excuses and more lies. A friend who works for Trading Standards advised me to send them a letter threatening legal action under the Sale of Goods Act. Amazingly enough a full refund appeared in my Paypal account 2 days later, with no hint of communication let alone appology. Evilking - I will PM you the contents of my letter as a proforma in case you decide to take a similar course.

Edit: Just seen this goes back to January so I guess this is old news now

Hi Bernardo,
How did you manage to talk to them, via the normal phone number (above) and email address?
I haven't had any luck with either so was wondering if there is an alternative phone number.

Cheers

Sorry you seem to be having so many issues.

I just used the normal contact number that was on the website. This was last year so things may have changed. I never had trouble getting through but everyone I spoke to gave me complete crap, sometimes complete lies. Some company's are just let down by poor operational systems but the staff here, based on my experience, really don't care. In fact I got the very real impression they were given me the finger and laughing.

I used Nusystems back when they were a pro audio company dealing with recording studio equipment. They are possibly the worlds worst to deal with after spending about £10K they tried to send me second hand gear. The PC did not have licences for all the software. They were a nightmare when things were faulty. They owed me around £500 in the end and I never saw it. Luckily I purchased on a Visa card and ended up claiming on the credit card. I did a little research into the companies house registration as it was a LTD comany and you can look at this on the web for £1. Not the best balanced books I have ever seen. The idea is to make a profit I thought. If you buy from them then beware. Maybe not today or tomorrow but the next.. it coulod just bite you in the proverbial ass...

Hi, I am myself in a preoccupying situatio with Nusystems. I ordered and paid a pair of headphones on December 4, 2008 and still have not received anything. Nusystems apparently do not care and I really don't know what to do. Could you please let me have a copy of the letter you send them threatening of legal action? besides, isn't there any authority in England to whom one can report such an obviously and continous fraudulent behaviour? there must be a legal mean to get them out of the market...thanks a lot for your help.

I've had pleasant experiences with them. My Shure SE530's arrived within 3 days.

When i lost my invoice and needed to return my headphones to Shure for a warranty claim, I emailed them, and they sent me the invoice within a few hours!

Sorry to hear about your experiences, I really wouldn't have expected it.
