I own an iGrado, and listen to it using standard Grado flat pads (as obtained from TTVJ). The sound upgrade from stock pads is stunning. It's closer to my MS-2i then it damn well ought be, considering the price difference..

...but the comfort, looks, price, etc - isn't especially optimal

. Has anyone managed a pad mod for the iGrado to get the flats sound, in a more reasonable way?

Well, people have been quartermodding original pads, or adding Sennheiser pads to them (and possibly quartermodding them aswell). Pad modding is the most popular way to get quality sound out of iGrado.
