so, i'm only making this thread in the hopes that silly new guy email verification alert at the top goes away.
i first came here to look up a decent pair of headphones, you know, the kind you stick in your ear. my last pair was a set of Denons a friend suggested. i managed to wreck them. anyway, a month after i read my first thread i make an informed purchase. not long after the GR07s got all burnt in i equalize them with the tutorial: http://www.head-fi.org/t/413900/how-to-equalize-your-headphones-a-tutorial/795. still fine tuning my ears to the process, but i've already achieved irrevocable improvements. you all have ruined average audio for me... thanks.
