I have had the ZEN DAC V1 and liked it really much. I don´t see much info/hands-on about this version.

I need some input on how good it is compared to more expensive amps. After watching this review of the Signature V1 I got interested:

for whatever reason i can't' seem to find much info about the V2 dac at all. the little bit of info I have found seems to suggest the V1 sounds better but, I am trying to get some sort of confirmation of that from others.

All the feedback we got thus far says otherwise, but it comes as no surprise that some folks might like the former ZEN DAC a bit more.

yah, I dont get it. I can see the V2 is better on paper but...for whatever reason I have had a couple people saying they like V1 better. I just got a V1 considering the V2 didn't really offer anything I really needed. Would have been nice to have the MQA decoder but, outside of that. I saved a couple dollars I guess.

and I am talking about the signature DAC not the normal one...

It is true, there are not much hands-on info on the ZEN DAC/Sig v2

If you're happy with your ZEN DAC V1, enjoy! If anything, the difference between it and our ZEN DAC V2 isn't drastic by any stretch, but after moving to ZEN DAC Signature V2 it becomes more noticeable, which is just the way it should be. Here we don't think that anyone would like his/hers non-Signature DAC more

The regular Zen-Dac V1 and V2 sound the exact same, I owned both.
I now use the the Signature-Zen-Dac which does sound better, as it has more detail and music sounds less compressed compared to the regular Zen-Dac.

ZEN CAN Signature devices by design were tailored for specific cans, so it remains to be seen whether we can make one that's universal. Thanks for asking, though!
