My question too. Soon there should be a new Ifi Micro soon, and hopefully with those connections. 3 years passed since the micro black label release, same timeframe relative to the first one when the ifi micro black label came out.

Yes, you can use it as stand alone desktop DAC/Amp. Regarding the charging ... I am not 100% sure but I read somewhere that the charing part will be bypassed in case it is used as desktop DAC/Amp. But I would not be unhappy to get a confirmation from someone who is 100% sure

"Soon" is the official answer for time being

You need to connect micro iDSD BL to a PC/laptop first and then turn it on. That's how it will know to go into desktop mode.

Btw ... maybe I missed that but is there a recommendation which USB buffer and buffer size should be selected? I am using Tidal Hifi/Master only. Or just keep the standard values (save and automatically)

If you're not sure or don't wish to experiment, I'd keep them in auto mode
