Thanks for the answer, but does the mercury 3.0 do the same thing as the purifier?

Mercury3.0 is a passive USB cable, whereas iPurifier3 is an active USB reclocker/cleaner. They're both useful and their input stacks.

Hello everyone
I've just bought one, it will be on the road soon (it will come to France !)
I have one question concerning inputs/outputs : can I plug at the same time : usb input to computer, spdif input to sonos, and rca output to Rega Brio amp ?
I find the documentation not really clear on the part concerning spdif which can be either input or output, depending on the selector ...
I hope it's possible, as i bought this product to switch easily between these 2 inputs.
Thanks for your support.

There is not a lot of information around, but I think that if the S/PDIF is not selected by the switch in the front as an input, it is automatically enrolled by the system as an output port. Or when the optical input is present, then it has a bigger priority as an input, over the coax.

You have no volume control for the unit itself - it always outputs the maximum to the next unit in the chain.

Yes, it's essentially a wireless DAC, so it doesn't feature volume control of any sort.

Yes, i/o selection is automated based on what's used, but I'll provide some info about the order shortly, good point!

Toslink SPDIF in always an input, while coaxial SPDIF is an output when the front selector is on USB or Bluetooth. When that selector is on SPDIF, then coaxial SPDIF is an input. Hope it helps!

I under stand but I also know that by purchasing an MQA licensed product I am indirectly paying that idiot liar Bob Stuart. No freakin' way am I EVER going to support that canard spewing dolt. I demoed MQA at an audio show a few years ago and I was in control of the playback and had no idea what version was playing and could NOT discern a difference. It is a farce.

frAudiophiles wax rhapsodic when ever they see the KMART blue light go on indicating that the magical mystery muck of MQA is unfolderzing the packet of poop. They then start speaking in hushed, reverent, dulcet tones about the "pace", "rhythm", "musicality", et al. but only when the blue light is on because that is their indicator to suck up to Stuart's creation. Other wise, they don't know what they are "hearing". Ridiculous beings, these frAudiophile creatures.

Your product looks to be a quality one but again, I refuse to pay Sir Bob of Stuart and that is exactly what I would be doing even if I never "listened" (what a joke) to any MQA crappola. Buying a product featuring The FARCE puts money in the pocket of that idiot Stuart. To Hell with that, sir! :beerchug: MQA...The FARCE be with you...:L3000:

I Will use the dac on pure sedentary.
a Rock Nuc >> the dac >> marantz pm6004 >> triangle antal 202

I think it will sound good, because this DAC uses a Burr-Brown chip and they tend to be "musical" as I found it to be a little more on the warmer side than the V2.
Your amp is not on the warmer side, so the match should be nice, but this is just my opinion.

Agreed! It should make a great pairing.

In our devices, keep in mind when MQA is off, it is off. MQA is not involved in the process at all when it is not being used, for peace of mind.

We like giving our users the choice of what to use their product with wherever we can.
so if i my streamer is sending a MQA file via Tidal i can defeat the final unfolding pithing the Zen Dac by a press of a button?

Naim also uses BB chips in their DAC's and they sound excellent.
