Hi All...
I'm looking to get zen dac v2, as a roon user I dont find the zen dac to be in roon tested list. Is anyone here using roon with the zen dac v2?
Kindly share your experience...
It works fine with Roon. No issues. Great piece of kit you can build on later on by adding the Zen Can, Stream …
works perfectly well with roon, im using it in a windows pc and sometimes also add the zen stream
Thank you
Yep, just confirming as all these folks have said, it works great with Roon!

Brilliant, thank you!
Does the extra adapter reduce noise? I would like to get one as a pure IEM amplifier, when I get one I'll try to do a review.

Okay, I have had my Zen Dac for 5 months now, running strictly off USB. Dug out an unused 5-volt power adaptor and plugged in, and WOW, what a noticeable change. Improved instrument separation, clarity, depth, and dynamics. I'm letting my Fidelio X2 slap my face to music right now and I can't quit. U2, Tears For Fears, Smithereens, Little Feat, Wolf Alice, The Boxer Rebellion, ...it ALL sounds MUCH better. Gonna move on to the DEVA later today. Sunday - Fun Day - Music Day. Thanks iFi for such a wonderful DAC.
Nice! Is yours the Zen DAC v1 or v2? Also, what brand of 5v power supply was it, a generic one?Okay, I have had my Zen Dac for 5 months now, running strictly off USB. You are correct on that one! Been running a 5v iPower on Mine for a long time now, definitely a difference!Okay, I have had my Zen Dac for 5 months now, running strictly off USB. Quick thoughts on the ZEN DAC Signature V1 compared to the non-Signature ZEN DAC V2. Both units running the GTO filter firmware - 5.3c on the Signature V1 and 7.2c on the non-Signature V2:
Chain: Spotify Premium on Mac > iFi ZEN DAC Signature V1 5.3c + iPower X / iFi ZEN DAC V2 7.2c + Generic power supply > iFi 4.4mm-4.4mm interconnect > iFi ZEN CAN 4.4mm > ISN EST50
Immediately, the ZEN DAC Signature V1 sounds distinctly richer, warmer, and smoother up top compared to the ZEN DAC V2.
Mids appear distinctly fuller, more bodied, and more forward on the ZEN DAC Sig.
Treble appears distinctly smoother and more relaxed on the Sig.
Bass appears better defined and articulated but also more propulsive on the Sig.
Staging as a whole appears more organised on the Sig, i.e. less diffuse.
Tonally, the Sig sounds more analog and imparts a better sense of realism. More of a live music / surround sound presentation and more immersive.
By comparison, the ZEN DAC V2 sounds relatively limp/brittle, digital, and raspy.
Overall, very pleased with the upgrade.

Good one!
Still got the iFi Zen Dac (v1) and M-stage Matrix combo going for desktop setup. I tested my recently purchased RME Adi-2 FS with the pc. No doubt good once fiddle with the settings but wasn't that easy to get only the hp amp controlling the vol whereas the exclusive mode/pre-out on the iFi 'just works'. Would be nice one day to get a neat 'stack' like the iFi amp but most likely stack the RME with a THX 789 down the track. RME being utilised with active monitors (wanted an update with vol and remote ).
