Ok another question then, I have a linear power supply I purchased for the Mytek, 12V@6.5A, would that work for the Ifi? or is the stock power supply more than sufficient?

idk about Mytek but iFi has some fancy looking adapter (not just a run-of-the-mill black box). Idk about the tech in there.

Any reason you don’t use/prefer the IEMs in the 3.5mm output of Pro iCan? It has IEMatch in that port?

I'm driving the IEMs from iDSD from the 3.5mm port. Utopias are driven from a different setup from iCAN from XLR.

Hmm, so if I were to bundle the Ifi dac and the amp, we are talking around $4.2k or so..that is into Hugo TT2 territory..I know I am getting into religious territory, but would anyone consider that as an alternative to the ifo combo?

I'm going through the same dilemma. Do I want the Pro iDSD, or do I increase my budget to the Chord TT2. Headphone listening is secondary for me. I just need a pre-amp in the DAC for volume control, since I go direct to an amp. So, my short list is Pro iDSD, Hugo 2, or Hugo TT 2 (if I double my budget). Technology changes so quickly, which makes it hard to throw a lot of money at a DAC.

just wondering if iFi will come out with their own linear or regenerative power supply?

I ask myself the same question, why iFI audio pro does not release a better quality power supply that will evolve ifi pro ican and iDSD pro rather than give way to concurrency,

one more good reason for iFi customers to spend more money on their iDSD and iCan

Our whole iPower range is extremely silent and we see it as perfectly fit for our Pro range units. Who knows what happens in the future, though.

Can any one tell me the best way to loop togtoget the Pro iDSD and the Pro iCAN

Sure. Please set your Pro iDSD in HiFi fixed mode (that small knob near analog outputs), which will bypass its volume control. Then you can connect Pro iDSD to Pro iCAN via XLRs/RCAs (both products are fully balanced all the way, thus it makes sense to use XLRs) and that's it.
