You did, whereas from time to time we keep things to ourselves, which we've said also respectfully and politely. This makes us even:L3000:

And we will as that's how we roll. Even if once in a while we say 'nay'.

I didnt even tryed the iDSD as a AMP (so far). For me the iDSD is a pure DAC (so far). Cant tell how it sounds and if it sounds different to the iCAN. I bought them both, because of reasons. :dt880smile:
It is a hobby and i wanted both. If it is worth it? I cant tell, maybe not, but again, its a hobby. If you got the money and have hard to drive HPs or just fun with high-end gear, i would say yes.

they each specialize in a different side of jaw-drop, and they both deliver.

I currently have an Mytek Dac+ and am considering moving up to the Ifi Pro Dsd. My only concern is that I have 300ohm headphones (ZMF Autuer) and am wondering if this unit will have enough power to drive them reasonably without the use of another amplifier? I could always keep the Mytec and use it strictly as an amp or purchase a dedicated amp, but I would really like to try to keep it in a one piece of equipment solution out of my laptop..

    Thanks!

pro dsd will power it fine, but if you are looking for the endgame, you want to pair with the pro ican. the pro ican is incredibly good amp imo.

I am wondering if maybe I should get the pro Ican first and use that with the Mytec and then get the ifipro later on..maybe a little more noticeable punch with the amp purchase. I am really intrigued with being able to switch between solid state and valve modes...

i have both iDSD and ICAN (+xlr interconnects) but I haven't paired them together yet bc is have the iDSD on my desktop driving IEMs and the iCAN next to sofa amping my Lampizator (and driving Utopias) -- which is primarily DSD dac but bc of TIDAL (and bc of Roon's DSD convo being too CPU intensive _and_ sensitive) i'm using its PCM circuit but which sounds like heaven through the iCAN -- and I can't forgo either, lol. Another iDSD is in order, yeah.
