I’m using 5 iPower X’s; K5 Pro, K7, BTR30, BTR30 Pro, and Chromecast (what the heck). I’m happy!

Thanks for letting us know! If I may ask, how much of a difference that many iPower Xs make in your setup?

Your question wasn't for me, but I'll answer too.

I have:

iPower X 12V for the Cambridge DacMagic 200M - as a DAC to external amp: blacker blacks, more spark in the top (in a good way). As a headphone amp, all the previous plus more attack and decay on the notes, and more natural presence. Subttle, but noticeable.

iPower X 5V for a Rapsberry Pi4 with volumio, as a streamer - less "digital", more natural. Again, subttle, but enough to make me spend more on the power supply than the streamer itself.

iPower 9V for the Koss + Drop ESP/95X eletrostatic energizer - more presence and weight on the bass, more cohesive sound top to bottom, clearer treble, and even more speed than stock power brick. This one was bought before the iPower X was released. I'm considering upgrading. :L3000:

iPower 5V on a DDC Douk Audio U2 Pro - again, less "digital", less noise from the Raspberry. More precision on the note's attack.

All the above are impressions from long sessions, not direct and quick A/B tests.

Awesome, thanks! It's particularly nice to see such a post after knowing that you've been using various iPowers for a while

Let's just say i have a good relationship with your portuguese distributor... :L3000: fueled in good part by iFi products.

I had Nano iDSD Black Label (I miss that one!), iDefender and iSilencer, apart from the iPower and iPower X listed.

And my bussiness partner has the iTube, the Micro iUSB3.0 with the dual cable, xCAN and Gryphon.

I'm trying to get a iPower Elite to test for a few days, but my wallet keeps saying no, because I might like it... maybe I settle for the current iDefender version, or some iPurifier, just to fill the christmas sock. :beerchug:

Thanks a lot! As for iPower Elite, well, it's a different animal in comparison to iPower X and really can make a noticeable difference, particularly with digital hardware. I hope that one day you'll get to try one for yourself :)

I added to the ifi ac purifier two ground wires (rca to banana) which really removed a veil and opened the sound from top to bottom on amplifier, which is quite noticable!!!

Does the material of the ground wire made make a difference in total outcome of grounding benefits? I used some subwoofer speaker wire and led based solder...(???)

An added bonus, it really tamed the brightness on my LG OLED and got the black in the picture BEAUTIFUL!!!

This X is really good. I think iFi should cut off some expenses and remove the LED. That will also save me 0.5watt on idle😉

On a serious talk I actually like it more than the Elite(I have two elites)

If the 15V could deliver 2-3A( for Chord TT2) I would pick the X over the Elite. But I am going for the Elite now.

@iFi audio Can you confirm whether or not the iPower Elite uses supercapacitors for the output?

I don't think that we specify this info, but I can always ask internally. Once I know what's what, I'll let everyone know here, thanks!

Hi all. Im considering getting better psu for my fibre converter from isp. And one psu for my main orbi.

Would the ipower x be good for my fibre converter?

And would the Elite be good for orbi router ?
