iFi audio iDSD Signature - The saga continues!

I did a real A/B blind test few months ago and the result shocked me soooo hard! I do not want to spoiler the result, but after such test you do not see a benefit to spend so much money for a DAC or amp anymore
So I am comparing hipdac 2 and dx300 now as we speak. Not sure I could tell the difference blind. I think the dx300 has slightly more micro detail in some instances, but then the hipdac has the xbass. I have diablo coming later today, but that is 4x the hip dac. Wish I could just keep everything! Alas, I can't spend $6k on audio equipment.

I actually tried to use the blu go with the hipdac to make the hipdac BT, but it didn't work. I thought hipdac could act as a receiver with usbc out, but guess not. Also, I have to say blu go wireless signal is NOT good. I had to have my phone touching it in thr gym to avoid drops. Sorta defeats the point.

How is the sound quality of GO blu (wired) when compared with Hip-DAC?

Hip dac is better, for sure. Wider, bigger bass. For on the go though, Go vlu is definitely better than btr5, qudelix, etc.

That's not how it should be. Could you please pair your GO blu with another transmitter and see whether anything changes?

So hipdac is about equal or slightly better than m11. Dx300 slightly better than both. Diablo slightly better than dx300. I've go thr Sig coming Saturday. Curios to see where it lands.

I'd risk a guess that somewhere in-between your DX300 and micro iDSD Diablo

micro iDSD Diablo isn't just a better micro iDSD Signature version though, they're tuned differently. We look forward to your findings!

I prefer a warm W shape with good subbass. I love the Xtra bass feature so I have a feeling I'll enjoy the Signature more than diablo.

Yes, it seems that micro iDSD Signature will be a better fit for you indeed :)

Does anyone know what the October 19 firmware is supposed to do? When I install it in my iDSD Signature, it reverts it from firmware 7.2c to 1.50. Am I missing something here or should I just leave it at 7.2c?
