Do you plan to restart production or moved to something like itube 3?

Our iTube2 is now discontinued and there are no plans for making its next version, but this might change. We never say never!

PS: I just received my Zen Dac signature V2 and currently post this and listening delightfully to it.

Manage to obtain 2nd hand Itube v.1

I'm a long time Ifi user back in the day of Ifi Nano I-one.

I have this problem with my car set up

Source : Android Head unit running Neutron app with direct USB out (as transport only)
Connection : USB
DAC : Zen Signature V2 firmware 2.20 ( try flashing 2.30 several time with no luck )
SN : 5320001673
Gain switch set to variable
Tube buffer : Ifi Itube v.1 with buffer
Single ended RCA out to Helix Psix processor.
Both DAC and buffer using Ifi power wall wart running from 220V inverter.

Some of the FLAC file with female singer and some instrument, I reckon somewhere around 2500Hz ~3500Hz produce Awful noise. Like crackling.
This does not happened with DSD file.

When I set up the gain to fixed, it got worse, so I dial down the gain knob.

I wonder if this issue is inherent in the DAC/Architecture or my unit somewhat flawed?

Otherwise, everything else is perfect!

I just got an iFi iPurifier 3 with USB B Female / USB A Female. Included were a USB A > USB C and a USB A > USB Micro cable. What are the points of these cables in this setup?

2. Keep the volume dial around 70%

I would used it as DAC only. I would like it to auto power on without having to push the power button. Is there future firmware update for this?

As far as I can tell at this time there are no plans for this feature, but let me ask how would you like to auto power on the product? We're always listening to what you would like to see, so who knows

Actually this set up is for my buddy's car and the schematic is similar to mine.

Android Head Unit + Neutron app -> USB cable / Optical-> Ifi Zen One Signature -> single ended RCA -> Digital signal Processor /Amp

The DAC is tucked away from view, so we would like to have it auto power on whenever the car started and auto select the input based on the incoming signal.

Future update for this is highly desirable.
I can imagine desktop set up to benefit from this function also.

I hear you and, although I can't promise anything, our R&D will shortly read your comments. If they can itegrate that urility into ZEN One Signature, the odds are it might be included at some point via a firmware update.
