If you've got the system (and the money) I've got an album.

Everyone has their favorite "auditionÊpiece", an album that makes a system sing like a siren - breathtaking and magical. Many times it's an album that taxes a system to it's absolute maximum potential. Many swear by "Dark Side of the Moon", others, hmm, I don't know, "Take Five"? Personally, the most mindblowing album that every made my best system sway, kneel and bend to the great Audio God was Supertramp's "Crime of the Century". If you haven't heard it through a GREAT (and heavy duty) system, you haven't heard one of the most brilliant productions ever. Angelic highs and demon, murderous bass!

Anyway, here's something I never had the pleasure of owning (I only had the "regular" Mobile Fidelity recording), the UHQR MOFI pressing of "Crime of the Century" and it's sealed!!!!

I don't have the money, but IMHO, strictly sonically, I think this album outshines Dark Side of the Moon. Some people don't like Supertramp, but I enjoy their almost Broadway musical like approach at times. Anyway, maybe somebody rich hear wants to own ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING recordings ever. I freakin wish I could!!!!! Grrrrrrrrr.

Years and years ago, I had just bought a new set of Yamaha separates. When I got them home and hooked up, the first thing I played (at moderatly mind-numbing volume) was School. To this day, I can still remember myself sitting there with this silly-assed grin on my face being blown away with WOW.
