Tried the prototype a few years ago at CanJam Singapore, an exceptionally good sounding IEM if you can get the fit right. However, it isn't a particularly deep inserting IEM. It just look that way due to how the drivers are arranged.

I already felt my ears hurting just by looking at the shape of those iems.

Do any of you have experience with the following cables advertised in aliexpress? How is the sound quality and build quality? And microphonics?
https://es.aliexpress.com/item/4000...earchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_

This cable stiffened up where the cable touches my face. It couldn't handle my oily face. Cable isn't usable for me, so I switched back to the stock cable. Lunashops basically refused to assist me when I told them about it. Maybe because it was 4 months after I placed my order; not sure. I'm now looking for a new cable.

Sound quality wasn't all that different from the stock cable, in my opinion. I wasn't happy with the stiffening of the cable. Microphonics were especially bad after it stiffened. I wouldn't recommend this specific cable.

Oh, and the cable started to curl up onto itself after a month of use.

Many thanks for your input. I ended up ordering another of the Lunashops cables, luckily not the one you are referring to.This one https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005001518151913.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ac463c0QUK6bT
A friend told me this material should be quite light, trying to avoid microphonics. I have ordered a short one 0,7 meters. I will write about it when it arrives and I have tried it.

Hi, Did anyone here buy on the Etymotic website this week? I ordered an ER2SE on November 23 and It wasn't sent until now...
I did buy the er4sr deal from adorama this week. I suspect with all the Black Friday deals the shipping may be delayed.

I was wondering about that cable. Hope the quality is better than the one I bought.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that the cable I had also started to curl up onto itself after a month or so. Another reason to stay away from that model.

Mikhail, creator of these and owner of Stereopravda, was inspired by Etymotic er4 in fact. His stance on fit is simple. If they fit the person they will be happy. If it does not fit then the person should look for something else.

That is very true.

Any Senn HD6xx/650 owners here? How would you compare them with ER4SR/XR/or other ER line-up? I'd really like to get the HD6xx, since I've never own open-backs before.
Hd600 owner here. First i had er4s for many years. Hd600 are underwhelming. They are good but hd600 could never build this other world music connection er4s gives. Er4s does this thing that you are just one with music flow. Hd600 is good overall but you never forget that you listen to headphones.
