For those in the U.K., Amazon has the er4se on back order with a pre-order price of £261.49. Just ordered a pair and hopefully it won’t be too long a wait.

They look a lot like the one's I have on my aftermarket cable
Well they didnt stick out any different to the ety standard mmcx , I also make cables and agree some are not so good .IMG_20181103_054013.jpg

Although I liked the finished cable I didnt like the angle of the mmcx as they stuck out more and were not so degreed

I just got these two months ago and something is wrong. I put them on today and they sound broken. Muffled and distant and quiet. They were fine yesterday. But the tips were dirty so I took them off, rinsed them and let them dry. At the end of the night I reapplied them. They were completely dry.

It sounds like they broke somehow. What should I do? Will Etymotic fix them if I send them in?

It's hard to say. If you're using tips with a wax guard, like Shure Olives, you can go a very long time. If you're using stock tips, and produce a lot of ear wax, you'll need to change more often. Two months doesn't seem like a long time, but when I need filter replacement, the symptoms are exactly like you describe.

Sometimes it's hard to notice as the sound degregation is slow , good to check visually every so often and a real eye opener when you change them sometimes as you just don't realise the loss in audio.

Thank your friends. Yes in this case it was clearly noticeable. I’ll try changing the filters. Hopefully that works, and I gotta get better about cleaning the tips lol.

Official ER2, ER3, and ER4 graphs. The ER2 is the brightest of them all unfortunately. ER3 has the most correct 9K-16K tuning in my opinion but has even more subdued 5-8K than the ER4 which makes it more muddy.

ive been looking into ETY's for a while. as someone who has tinnitus (caused by ear infection a year or so back) every time i listen to IEMs, the tinnitus gets a bit worse for a few hours after listening with them. ive been told (and i dont know if i believe it), that etys somehow dont have that problem of exacerbating tinnitus like other IEMs do. would anyone with similar circumstances be able to let me know what the deal is with that claim? thanks!

I have tinnitus but not severe like some people. ER4 is a bit bright in my experience depending on the tips used but the ER3 is 100% fatigue free to me.
