fengru 30 ohm measures 31.4ohms
dunu 75 ohms measures 76.3ohms
dunu 150 ohms measures 150.0 ohms
dunu 200 ohms measures 199.1ohms
penon 25ohms measures 24.6ohms
penon 100ohms measures 100.7 ohms

interestingly, when i put the multimeter to the sleeve and tip (disconnected from cable) for dunu, it measures 90, 165, and 215 ohms respectively. the other adapters dont read anything when i do that.

also interesting:
ER4SR's cable reads 1 ohm
ER3SE's cable reads 1 ohm
ER4S's cable reads 102 ohms
proving that the resistor is in the housing for the new gens, and the $70 "replacement cables" they sell are overpriced normal MMCX cables with tabs
the aliexpress cable i mentioned is 48ohms (which is wrongly advertised since 48+22 = 70 ohms). So the +23ohms is wrong, sorry.
the graph looks like this when I remove dunu, and it makes sense in my opinion.

hope that makes more sense and sorry for the big mess

Thank you, nice sharing. Can you normalize that at 1kHz?

Not sure I understand, is it a matter of having one resistor to the ground vs having one on each channel(so 2 in the adapter)?

In any case, I'm curious. I almost never bothered testing more than 2 or 3 values on my IEMs, being already convinced in my head that the results would keep the same direction based on the impedance curve. So it could also be that I missed a very real behavior all this time. For all I know(don't remember), I got measurements like yours sometimes and discarded them thinking I had messed up with some contacts or whatever.
Or maybe there is something about the amp acting up at certain loads and voltages? Or some resistors get hot even with this little signal and the specs change rapidly as the sweep goes through?(I'm totally fishing).

My point is, doubt me at least as much as you do the adapters . And thank you for looking into it so fast and being so open minded.
I'll go dig into my stuff and test my old ER4SR, but maybe not this weekend because, life.

Wow, lots of ... charts and graphs!! Anyway, I finally caved and bought the ER2SE to compare with my ER4XR, hoping that it will have more "fun" sounding with the dynamic driver rather than BA. Alas, not so for me. IMO, the ER2SE is incredibly close to and about 90% of the ER4XR. The missing 10% is upper range sparkle, spatial depth, and realism.

The ER2SE / XR is a great bang-for-the-buck value, but I don't need nearly the same sound from 2 different earphones. So I will likely be selling the ER2SE and picking up the Etymotion Bluetooth cable for my ER4XR.

Well I've been looking at a set of easy to drive (using phone's 3.5mm output) IEMs and the Moondrop Arias, Tripowin Mele and Shozy Form 1.1 were top of my list.

But, I just saw Crinacle's latest YouTube vid and the sub $100 winner is the ER2SE/XR. I had completely forgotten about them in the sea of the newer chifi offerings.

I want to get them, but I really need a cable with mic, pause, and volume buttons. I read the Etymotic connectors are mmcx but proprietary. Does anyone have any cable recommendations for me? Thanks.

I don't see the ER2XR/SE as there entry line up, You can either use EQ or try etymotic's filter kit.

After trying more music & trying to fix pressure in my left ear. Despite the ER2XR/SE using DD's I would never once thought they were using a Single DD. The ER2XR with brown filters and the bass cut to 4XR levels, They sound like a 2BA or 2 way hybrid aiming at warm neutral. They blow away anything I got at £380.
