I'm not affiliated with them or anything, I just found this good deal on them and thought I'd share.
As I need an unamped portable pair of Headphones ontop of the home 770's, I'm planning on getting 'em myself.

Might get one, but I hate to buy something from USA as I never know if I will pay extra duties.

Anyone know how they are compare to alessandro MS-1 ? I will try to find some localy to see how they sound, but I don't know yet where.

The price has come down. I bought a pair from them about 3 months ago and it totaled $178 with shipping.

I'll vouch for them. Fast shipping and the product was brand spanking new.

The price for the one posted above is good for international buyers, namely australia. If you're in the US, this one is slightly cheaper (due to shipping). http://cgi.ebay.com/Sennheiser-HD595...QQcmdZViewItem
I almost bought this one, but I found a Headfi ad for a used one and went for that instead.

Well, that's not that cheap.

Here in Sweden they retail at $174 (US), that is at a well known, high-service retailer, including the wicked 25% VAT.

Certainly they must be a lot cheaper in the states, at least due to lower VAT. In Germany they seem to retail at $160 (US, €129). (That's a Swedish retailer, shipping to Germany and charging german VAT. You'll probably find a much better price in Germany.)

Yeah, well here in Australia we're used to insane prices on these kind of things, those headphones at a shop in another city comes to around US $300 so the above price is DIRT CHEAP to me and on the Internet that was the cheapest I saw. I'm sure this thread will help atleast one person.

Do these come with Sennheiser USA warranty cards? Or are they 'grey market' without USA warranty? I noticed their obvious solicitation for a 3-year warranty add-on.

Same here, in Sweden, we have insane prices. On most things.

The Shure E2c and E2G retail att US 93, delivered, which is OK. The UE Super.fi5 Pro retail at US 368, well above double US price! That's pure evil...

The Sennheiser CX 300 is US 61, minimum, compared to US 39 in UK.

The Sennheiser HD 555 is US 107, which seem to be OK at a glance.
Sennheiser HD-650 is US 350. HD 515 is US 92.
