Hey everyone,
I recently purchased the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro to offer a change of pace from my Grado SR 125 (and get more comfort too). Both sets have their advantages but I wish I could find one that combines the advantages of both sets. I listen mainly to pop and mild rock (fall out boy, killers, maroon 5 etc.). I love the bass of the DT770 but prefer the mids and the treble of the sr125 (the treble of the dt770 can be sibilant and fatiguing at times and the mids are famously recessed). I love the comfort of the dt770 but I like the fact the SR125 can be driven so easily. So if these headphones could mate and had a baby with all of the good points, what would it be? I'll give a budget of $700 for either a headphone only or a headphone/amp combo (please make it an amp that can be easily bought on the net), and my source is a Zune and desktop computer primarily.
