My first higher quality headphones, I love these so much.

the only maintenance I perform on these is once a month change the filters, every two weeks change the foamies. The End.

Wow that's quite often. The Filter-changes I mean. I didn't have to change the filters yet but from what I read in the manual I suppose a change is destructive to the old filters. Or is there a way to save, clean and reuse them?

The filters are intended for one time use only. I cannot think of anyway to clean them without damaging them. I also cannot think of a way to remove them without damaging them.

I've owned Ety's for over a year and have not had the need to change the filters (yet). Am also fairly compulsive about cleaning ears... but that compulsive behavior existed prior to using Etys.

I'm fortunate to be able to use the white rubber tips without problem. I clean the rubber tips ~ once every other month or so. Just run them under warm water, soap them up with regular hand soap, rinse and let air dry. No biggie.

Microphonics: if you're wearing them while active and moving around, it's durn annoying. When not active, it's not a problem for me.

Insertion: takes some practice, but after a while, it's very easy and straightforward... second nature to me now.

Sound: GLORIOUS!!!

Am still looking for closed cans that provide similar sound quality that you don't have to shove into your ears. But in the meantime, Etys are it for me.

Would second the suggestion to use the HeadRoom 30 day option. Ety's + META = Big Smiley Face!!!

Bruce, you're a lucky, lucky man. I go through a single filter about once every month to three months. I've spent a small fortune on filters. And 4 out of 5 times it's my left that needs to be re-filtered. I just am not into cleaning my ears beyond very LIGHT Q-Tip cleaning. I don't like water in my ears so debrox and such would be completely out of the question.
