Recable the ksc35 and ksc75, give them proper cabling/impedance tweaks, pop them in some closed and open full-size cans, price them aggressively. Then come here and give away a hundred pairs and ask for feedback.

this is more a rant actually.

KOSS doesn't seem to take their full-sized headphone lines very seriously I find.

I have a pair of Koss R80s that I use all the time. They've broken countless times, and I keep fixing them (they are mutant monsters now). I don't want to send them back either, because a new pair will break in a few weeks, they are absolutely flawed in design.

I got the PRO3AA off ebay (at postoffice as I type this), and apparently they have a design flaw in the headband-cupmount joint like the R80s.

Their lifetime warranty is excellent but when it means sending them back over and over again, its worthless.

The R80 price/performance is great, but I can't recommend them to anyone because they inevitabley will break (in 4 locations).

Seriously now, how often would the R80 break in the average consumer electronic use year? NOt once a weak, not really?

That is an excellent sugjestion. I like the part about changing the cables, something like a $20 (@ cost) cable should really help them out. Of course I like the idea of them coming to the forum & giving them away as well. If only Koss would give away their KSC75 here. I wish that Koss KSC75s were handed out as door prizes on this forum or something. You create a thread that everyone thinks is a good one & you get a KSC75, you do a good review you get a KSC75, you flame the crap out of a Bose loving know-nothing...you get...well you know.

Well, I'll admit mine do get more than average abuse, but there is no way these will last a year when used lightly.

Putting them on and taking them off is what does it. They use tiny screws that shear out of the plastic. Also plastic that is pre-bent, I think it has undesirable residual stresses in it, because I've witnessed that spot break 4 times.

Once all it took to snap them, was one fitting on my friend's rather large head.

Sounds like a good idea to me, I can't wait to see them. Let me know how they sound as well, that is always what I like to know about headphones the most anyway. Although all the other information is important.
