If I like Diana Krall style song, can you suggest something similiar?

have you listened to Patricia Barber? Another female jazz vocalist, she has more of a night clubby feel to her music--something worth checking out.

Also, I got into the preceeding two artists at pretty much the same time I got into Rebecca Pidgeon. She's a more folky vocalist, and I don't know I'd categorize her as jazz, but you might want to check her out too.

Does it have to be jazz? If you like Krall, I think you would like Kate Rusby (Little Lights, Ten) or Hem (Rabbit Songs, I'm Talking With My Mouth). The former is a British born traditional Welsh singer. The latter is a Brooklyn country band. Toss neo-bluegrass, Gillian Welch (Time) on the list too. And the Cape Verdean blues singer, Cesaria Evora (self-titled/Café Atlantico). Hell, just look at my sig. In that world at the moment.

Holly Cole -- Temptation (Covers of Tom Waits songs) is very good. Also I enjoy Dark Dear Heart

Sade -- Everything she has done is good

Laverne Butler -- Chesky Records -- Day Dreamin

Lisa Loeb -- Firecracker

Another one of my favorites and a great CD for auditioning equipment is Jennifer Warnes -- Famous Blue Raincoat These are covers of Leonard Cohen songs.

May I suggest Jacintha, Lush Life. I just picked this up today, She has a smooth voice, and the recording is wonderful, DSD even on the non SACD version. I know this is gonna be in my rotation for a while. Nice rendering of some classics. Well worth it.
