Reading about the great sound of the UE SF5pro, i am close to ordering them, especially now at the lower amazon price of $140 for all colors.

However, I also read that this two driver model makes for a tough fit for some people with small ears.

I have tried out my son's SF3's and found it hard to get a secure fit with either the smallest olives or the double-flange. Even with the memory wire to keep it put, it falls out with the slightest movement.

I have been using Ety ER4p's for 5 years now with the small size triple flange, and have always gotten a secure comfortable seal.

So given the fit problem with the SF3's, should I refrain from buying the 5pro's?

I think my next choice would be the Q-Jays...although i am not positive that they would fit.

Also, maybe can the Ety flanges fit either of these other IEM's? Without harming the sound?

thanks and happy holidays to all.

How hard did you try to make the Super.fi 3s fit? I have fairly small ear canals, and my Super.fi 5s fit quite well. I have the drivers reversed so they don't stick out as much, and I found the perfect fit with the memory wires. I don't even ever have to unbend them now thanks to the awesome metal case. I've got them to where they're almost as comfortable as my UM1s (the UM1s being the most comfortable earphones of any kind I've ever tried).

When I first got them I tried wearing them the way they prescribe, with the drivers sticking out. That didn't work out so well, but that was pretty obvious to me before having tried. That's a ridiculous way to wear earphones.

i see from another thread that the Q-jays accept the Ety tri-flanges. maybe i will go that direction.

only problem is black model back-ordered 8 weeks. (also $40 more than SF5 pro).

I've got my Super.fis to where I can't really tell they're there when I'm wearing them. Doesn't really get better than that.

It's not like stuffing a pillow in your ear like the UM1s, but it's comfortable. You just have to work a little to get the comfort.

thanks....i think i may go with the Q-Jays.

if i can't get a good fit with the supplied tips, then i can use the Ety tri-flanges.
