jvc fd01 or fdx1

JVC is similar IMO but w/ slower slightly bigger bass (maybe like 2000J w/ bass rings but I haven't used in a while). (the fdx1 version comes w/ pre-modded nozzles for adjusting the sound a bit, some say the bass is a little better too but I haven't tried).

Have not had 2000J for a few years, currently have FD01 and have not made direct comparison so I could be off the mark. I don't think they are exactly alike but they have some commonalities I think particularly in the midrange/treble balance , and differ most in the bass- as mentioned fd01 has a bit fuller midbass not quite the deep & very controlled subbass of unmodified 2000J (of IEMs I have tried 2000J is 2nd only to ex1000 for favorite bass). Unmodified FD01 is probably the closest to 2000J but personally I prefer it with the popular filter mod.

thank you for the suggestion, picked the fd01 up after trying them today. Very good for the price and paired them with the titanium nozzles
