Long time lurker...first time poster!!

I currently own a pair of Shure E4Gs and I love them, but I'm looking to add to my IEM collection. I've been thinking about a pair of UE Super.Fi 5 Pros, but I wanted to get other opinions? Would I be better off getting some more money together and going for one of the new pairs of Shure IEMs? What's your opinion?

Let's just put a budget of $500-ish on this...but lower is always better as long as it doen't interefere with quality.

Thanks!

Why not try the Crossroads mylarthree ? I just got them and they sound amazing!

People have compared them to Westome um1 um2 UE Super.Fi 3 / 5 BE /Pros

There's a thread going on at the moment, can't name the price .. you can get them at jaben network for let's say under 65dlr incl. shipping

Wow! I saw that thread and it sounds pretty impressive! I might have to do that just out of curiosity.

that won't quite make it

supermicro iv and er-4s will make it easily and there will be plenty of cash left over. best portable sound u can buy for under $500 imo.

What if I just sucked it up and got a pair of SE530PTHs? ...or even snag a pair of the E500s? Is there really that much of a difference between those two (besides $$$)?

the IEM itself is the same just comes without the PTH device..

E500's can be found fairly cheap used on this site..

Hrmm...this may be the way to go! Any need for a better amp if I were to snag a pair of these bad boys?

I was thinking of buying or making my own amp to use with Zune/E500's but I dont think I am, the E500's sound excellent powered by the Zune.. from what I've read they do well on most daps.
