Lately I have been a bass head for hip-hop and rap music.(Thats why I have the klipsch s4i) And I was going to go for the Monster Turbine Pro Gold and then it hit me that I like the highs in hip-hop and rap as much as the bass.
I need an IEM that will do the following:

Isolate
Comfortable
Not look like a dork at school :)
Mids are not so important
Need great highs!!!
Also need instrument sepration
Soundstaging
The last part(The Bass)
I need the mid bass to rock my world(but not as much as the klipsch s4
I also need the sub bass to be very present.

All under 300 or so maby a little higher.
I was thinking westone 3 or Monster Turbine Pro Copper and last The miles davis tribute

I would say ie8(don't have) or w3(have-prob selling) in your price range
or cheaper would be hippo vb(have-selling) or panny hje900(have-selling)...
the w3 isolate the best and for me are the most comfortable to wear for long periods of time
the cord is awesome too which is a big plus

the miles davis(have-love-keeping) are awesome but do look a little strange so the dork at school thing might be an issue

w3 with shure olives is much better in isolation and comfort...also has a wider soundstage and better instrument separation

MD's 'to me' have better sound quality but they don't isolate as well and the cord isn't even in the same league as the w3's
the mids are my problem with the w3, just a little recessed to my ears and the highs sometimes sound a little harsh with things like radiohead or elbow

if I could have the MD sound in a w3 package I would be in absolute heaven, it would be my dream IEM
