So, my friend says that she can get me a pair of BOSE IEMs, for about 50$ USD.

Here's some info, Bose In-Ear Headphones - Headphones and Headsets

When I talked to my friend about it he suggest that BOSE should be taken out back and shot. I've been reading these forums and I think the attitude is "there's no doubt BOSE is a good product, but it is seriously overpriced". So I figured with the half off would it have a good bang/buck ratio. Has anyone tried them, worth getting?

Thank You, and please respond I only have about 3-5 days to tell her to get it.

I have used them and I liked their sound a lot! At half price it would be a worth addition.

However I should mention that because of their design they allow outside noise to creep in. So if you want them for your office where you need to hear the phone or for home use where it is quiet then they would be fine. If you want them to use in a train, plane, or similar a fully sealed one would be a better alternative.

If you live in CONUS and you get them but do not like them I would trade you for them with an UE Super.Fi 3 Live (made for Radio Shack by UE). Good luck.
