Just bought a Cowon S9 which sounds great with my M50 cans but not so good with my current IEMs which are real cheapies.
Looking for an upgrade> Something i can use when I'm out and about for under $150 total.

If you like the sound of the m50s with the s9 the I definitely recommend the vsonic gr07. Both are fantastic out of the cowon.
