Does anyone else have problems with the off the shelf IEMs that are out there? I've had a handful of IEM's that just boggle my mind the way they are designed. They don't fit my ear canals at all. Generally I notice my ear canals curve backwards toward the back of my head and it seems a lot of these designs go the other direction?!? I'm just confused and a bit annoyed. The only pair I ever owned that made a lick of sense were the Klipsch s4's I had years ago that unfortunately died.

Are these still a good recommendation? I think I might get another pair of these. Or anyone have any thoughts on what I should or shouldn't buy?

Those look interesting, I only worry maybe about the length. My ear canals are pretty wide up to a point and require fairly deep insertion. I had decent luck years ago with some Etymotic ER4i's.  I really think perhaps I should quit screwing about and just get some customs. :\
