Has anyone tried this mod with their eartip? I have a pair of used foam eartips for my sf5p that I was going to throw out, but was considering trying this.

Wow, very cool idea! I won't be able to use with with my ER6i's, but for a CX300 or other single-flange tipped IEMs it looks very interesting. I'd love to give it a go if I could.

I did something similar once, but I used the foamies that come with the cheapie earbuds and covered up the driver hole and then put on the silicone tip, seemed to darken the sound a little, so maybe it would help out bright IEM's.
