So I'm quite new to this website, meaning I haven't taken the full amt of time i should be taking to read how different types of headphones work (eg. Full closed headphone vs open ones vs IEM's). So far... the general concensus I gather is that - at the same price: IEM > full closed headphones. Is this correct?
This works just splendid for me as I'm a drummer and the sole features i would like to see are 1. Ambient noise reduction and 2. averages frequencies responses across the board, 5hz to 25khz?
So far I've taken a look at some headphones within my price range, and i found 3 IEM that i thought would suit me nicely - although i don't know what is actually featured technologically in these headphones XD
1. ETYMOTIC ER-6i
2. SENNHEISER CX300 B
3. SENNHEISER HD212 PRO
HOWEVER, HERE'S WHERE I NEED YOUR WELL APPRECIATED ADVICE
Why is it that when i compare the 3 using the graph thingy, SENNHEISER HD212 PRO dominates across the board? I mean, in the specs page the 212 (Sennheiser HD 212 Pro @ HeadRoom) supposedly only isolates 8 - 10 db... while the CX300 IEM (Sennheiser CX300-B @ HeadRoom) is supposed to isolate 12 db. Is it just me? Or is something in conflict here? Also, Which ONe would you recommend a drummer?

Thanks in advance for any help!
