Hello,
i just received my IE 800 from Sennheiser. I also bought the alternative audio cable called RCS 800. The RCS 800 has got a remote and mic in it.
Overall the IE 800 are really good. I do like the mids and trebles. Moreover the bass is deep.
I tried all the tips and found out that the biggest ones are the best for me. I still think that the IE 800 has got more bass. It is more a problem with these tips than the In-Ear headphones itself.
As already some people may know the biggest problem with these headphones are the cable noise. For me it is the only problem with these headphones. The microphonics are noticeable. While hearing music it comes better.
I am using a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the RCS800 just works fine with it except the function to choose the previous track by clicking three times on it.
So I downloaded an app in the Googe Play Store called 'JAYS Headset Control'. At the end the compatible issue has been resolved.
My question is concerning the AKG K3003i. It comes with a remote and mic in it. As I know so far these are compatible with IOS devices.
But concerning Android devices it causes some compatible issues. On their website AKG mentioned that the K3003i works with IOS and Android but they are especially desinged for IOS devices. So maybe not all of the remote buttons (especially volume up and down) will be working with Android smartphones.
Do anyone can try out whether the K3003i works with an Android devices or maybe with a S7 Edge?
Do anyone think it could be possible that the K3003i will just works fine with the app to use the remote? Because it could be a hardware issue. The audio jack of the K3003i has got 4 pin allocation. In addition to that the K3003i comes with an audio adaptive cable in the box. It changes the 4 pin to a 3 pin allocation. So if there are sound problems (especially on Android devices) it could be possible to resolved the problem wih this cable. But as a respone of that the audio adaptive cable automatically turns off the remote function of the K3003i.
The reason why I mentioned the K3003i is the following one: I just want to know whether the K3003i is better and how far better than the IE 800. Especially the microphonics of the K3003i should be better but I am not sure. On the other side there are these compatible issues concerning the remote function etc.
Is there a big difference between these two headphones? Concerning treble mids and bass? Or should I just use the IE 800? The only problem are the microphonics...
Best regards
