Yup, this is what we'd suggest as well.
The 2019 plan is as follows:
So I have received the Sony WMC-NWH10 USB OTG cable and despite tweaking the WM1Z settings for USB output every way possible it doesn’t work with the iDSD Micro BL
There is a slight “click” noise when I plug the 1Z to the Micro BL but no sound comes out and I have tried different file formats and sampling rate, also tried to switch the filter from BitPerfect to every other setting... to no avail :’(
Anyone with 1Z has a similar experience ?
Edit : strike that, it works now, you need to keep usb mass storage ON and plugging unplugging from the 1Z instead of Micro BL and it works for some reason
DX200 to ifi Bl works perfectly.
Yeah well... Sony is probably not the most compatible friendly brand...
Strange since it was reported to work with Nano BL
Edit : So I turned USB mass storage again, replugged the cable and for some reason now it works !
I couldn’t find the other Micro BL thread so I hope this post is ok here.
My current set up is iPhoneXS->Tidal Hifi -> Apple Camera Connector -> iFI Micro BL -> LCD-3.
First, I can’t sing the praises enough for the Micro BL. I love the clarity the dac section creates and the amount of power this little thing can push into my LCD-3s is amazing.
I would like a way to increase the back background as I get some hiss most likely from my phone/USB set up.
In the past I used Audioquest’s Jittterbug and that made a noticeable improvement. However, I’ve sold the Jitterbug and I don’t think it would fit the USB in on the Micro bL.
Is iFI’s iSilencer3.0 the best gadget to add to my chain to reduce the hiss related to USB noise? And I’m assuming that since it’s also iFI, it will fit into my Micro bL without any problems?
It depends on where the noise is coming from. I've seen this a lot with ground loops, but with a phone that is unplugged from it's charger I doubt it's a ground loop. I have an issue with usb noise on my desktop computer and use the iFi iDefender 3.0. The iDefender eliminates the noise all together. I'm not sure if it will work in your situation though.
Yes, it will fit your micro iDSD BL's USB port. You can give it a try and perhaps it will help you with that noise issue you have.
This works well for me to stack a OnePlus 3T
Could you let me know where I could purchase the silicone web band? I never knew that I needed one before, but I do now!
Nevermind, I actually found them on AliExpress.com and will order a set soon!
I like using velcro because it leaves the phone screen unencumbered, for lack of a better term.
That's how we'd describe this too.
Guys what you think about RHA CL750 with iDSD BL micro, has anyone tried??
(Mostly for metal music)
