That's good to know that you like it! Cheers!
What's not to like about you guys? The great service or the great products?
I'm enjoying my iDSD BL too and you were super nice sending me a marked replacement volume cap
Though I haven't asked for a replacement knob and etc etc i love the BL... I was just going to say whats there not to like and you beat me to it.
On a similar note, I’m turning to figure out the powered hub situation. I’ve read the article https://ifi-audio.com/audio_blog/orico-high-power-usb-hub-one-sure-way-to-feed-the-meaty-monster/
However, I’m still confused. Do I plug the hub main USB connector into the computer or iPhone camera connection kit, plug DC power info the hub, and plug the iDSD micro into one of the BC 1.2 fast charging ports? Does this allow charging and playback at the same time?
It seems that Orico charger isn’t available anymore on Amazon, but I found a other wIth BC 1.2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N6LQU2A/
I will finally have the chance to compare the Black Label with the 4x more expensive Chord Hugo 2. Will let you know my impressions soon.
Now that's going to be a match! Feel free to let us know how it went!
The above will charge the iDSD micro and allow playback in turbo mode.
What it does NOT allow is playback from an iPhone while charging the phone.
There are third party camera connection kit type adapters that claim to allow charging while also using the lightning port on the iPhone for data (including audio), however we have not tested this.
For Android there is a standard that allows a charging OTG accessory, however this is very rarely found as cable and we have not tested such a device.
Thanks again. The USB 3 Apple camera connection kit (CCK) allows charging of the iPhone while using the DAC iDSD via lightning.
I rigged up a non powered hub and the sound gets from the CCK to the iDSD.
I decided to get an iUSB nano to charge and clean up the USB signal
Does it work with Android? There's no OTG cable.
Which product are you referring to?
iFi audio team
I'm referring to ifi micro iDSD Black Label.
I always mentioned this in my reviews, all iDSD BL works with Android, but there is no OTG in the package
A OTG that should just work is 5$ - 10$, so no big deal there
Many thanks for your quick response.
I can see that George already replied.
Yes it works with Android and you can easily get an OTG cable.

Ok, I have an OTG adapter here for the LG G6. I just don't have the USB cable. Will get one right now. Thanks
There should be a long blue USB cable in the package, with one USB end you plug in the OTG and one mother type USB port you plug in the iDSD
