Just got around to opening my Cardas blue HD600 replacement cable, and I notice there is no marking on the red and black male plugs-unlike the original cables (which have "left and right" written on them and came to with these markings facing out). Does it matter which way I go when inserting the new Cardas set? Sorry if this is the wrong forum to post in, I'm new!
Thanks,
John

Red would be right side. One terminal is larger than the other. It should slid in fairly, easily if not flip it around. I believe the thicker pin goes to the rear of the headphone. Do not force it.

Thanks guys! I noticed the swirl but my eyes aren't what they used to be and I thought they were just imperfections in the plastic. But I see what you mean, one post is larger than the other. Any tips on securing the Cardas to the phones if they tend to be a bit loose? Once I get these changed out I will leave them alone, I'm worried about wearing out the fit of the plugs.
God, I love this site!

It's a good thing to buy a small ammount of CAIG Pro Gold and treat the contact pins before you plug them in. Once you treat them, you should be set.
