taoster,

When I received my new EMP last February, I had a different stock tube. The labeling read:

Ei (within a circle)
Yugoslavia
ECC 81

LarryS, do you have the US Model? I got my from UK, 220V. The 6DJ8 were labelled Tesla TD10s.

Someone must know what that symbol is? Hoping to give it a comparison between the TLFKN ECC81 diamond bottom and TLFKN ECC801S diamond bottom when i found the time.

Yes, I purchased the US version.

But...isn't the only difference between the two in the transformer? The EMP unit itself is the same, no?

LarryS, as far as i know they are the same cept the transformer. it seems each different retailer/distributor stock their EMP stock tubes differently. It really doesnt matter, I still say rolling out the stock EMP tubes is mandatory for performance.
