Ideal Headphone (HD800/Audeze) music, suggestions,please

This analogue recording done by Phil Woods drummer, Bill Goodwin is one of my favorites.
Keith Jarrett returns to his roots, both musically and physically, on this CD. His first significant jazz gig was at the Deer Head Inn in Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania, and 30 years later Jarrett agreed to perform at the venue again. With the assistance of bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Paul MotianJarrett plays six jazz standards (several of which were associated with Miles Davis) plus Jaki Byard's medium-tempo blues "Chandra." The inventive interpretations give listeners plenty of surprises and variety, making this a very enjoyable outing.( All Jazz)

This was a little surprising. Svetlanov conducting Miaskovsky 4 wasn't grabbing me through loudspeakers, but something made me play it through the HD800s. Wonderful sound...lively, warm - and there is a whole Svetlanov edition out there if a box of Miaskovsky is too off the wall for you...

How about moving this thread to this forum :
http://www.head-fi.org/f/9/music

I do see there is a specific reference to the HD800 but basically this thread is about well recorded music and not about the equipment. At least from my point of view.
There are various music threads about "audiophile recordings" or "best recording of all times" or "best live recordings". There are plenty of great recommendations.
For a great recording it doesn't really matter if you use a HD800 or not. The HD800 will reveal flaws in bad recordings w/o hesitation.
Just my $0.02. Cheers

I kind of like the idea of a special HD800 music thread, if only just to find out how  similar or not fellow HD800 owners music taste is.
but of course you are right, icebear, it could also be in the music section.

What do you think Kheadfi?

If it is OK with everybody I would like  the thread to stay here. To keep the focus on the HD800's.

Nils Frahm - Felt (scroll down to find this particular release amongst them all)

The intention with this album was to experience the piano intimately. The micing is _extremely_ close (in fact I believe there were multiple mics placed inside the piano) and it benefits hugely from the intimacy of headphones, benefitting doubly from the clarity offered by the HD800.

Keep in mind I am not a seasoned audiophile. These albums and song sound amazing on the HD800.

Mikelab mentioned the Doug Macleod ''There's a Time'' album.

In my opinion that album is one of the best sounding blues albums ever made.http://www.hdtracks.com/there-s-a-time-134480

Yes my 2 favorite Blues downloads the last year or so has been this Doug Macleod download and the ''Torn''  download with Carmen Gomes ,http://www.soundliaison.com/
Here is the lovely Robert Johnson cover ''love in vain'', marvelous guitar playing and a great interpretation.

and this is one of my favorite songs from the ''There's a time'' album' '( it is not the the album version)
