A company sent me the wrong sound card (mistakenly? hatredly? spitefully?), and I am having difficulty in identifying it. It's chipset is CMI8738, with 4 output channels, line in, microphone and gameport. The box says it is from Fieon Digital.
The only card that I can find using CMI8378 from them is 6 channels.. an 8 channel card from them uses CMI8768. I doubt they made a typo on the chip (though the "Read me.txt" spells "Please" as 'Pls'!)
