Interest check on something that I thought I'd never sell (my fiancee doesn't even want me to sell these). Debating using these funds to buy Abyss.

Hopefully, you've noticed, but these are not your grandma's K1Ks. These K1Ks are part of the very first run and have the original, bass heavy drivers. I had to spend an insane amount of time trying to find any serial number under 4XXX over the years and finally found them a while back in Germany. Then, I spent an absurd amount of money to get them here. They sound absolutely incredible and far superior to any other of the five K1Ks I've owned.

Read here for more information about the different generations: http://www.head-fi.org/t/500167/k1000-bass-heavy-light-fact-or-fiction

Looking at the current market, it's hard to see any K1Ks, let alone, I haven't seen any 4XXX, 5XXX, 6XXX, 9XXX, or other lower S/N models for at least a year. The only ones I see for sale these days are 10XXX.

These have a black box like the 4XXX, but the molding is different. The coolest part is that this comes with a complete repair guide and all this additional documentation I've never seen before.

Headphones have not been repaired or altered. Includes original speaker taps, and by the end of the weekend a very high-end professional 6' cable will be finished that I will include at no cost.

These cost me a fortune so send me your best offer; the only thing I would potentially be interested in trading for is Stax SR-009. Absolutely no other trades unless it's something top shelf.

Please note that these are just rough pictures to prove the S/N is legit. I'm not entirely sure I want to sell, but I wanted to show that these really are basically a prototype model.

Just to clarify, this is not a 10XXX number... these are from 1990 and due to their design, you don't have to worry about age leading to degradation of materials. Includes some incredible materials, such as, illustrations, rationale behind the design, repair documentation, and a whole complete list of all the parts of the headphone. It really is a finished, polished prototype. Very rare, indeed.
