Hi all, it seems I have a problem with treating my equipment right or maybe I'm just not lucky. My HD280s had cracking problems and my ER6i had an intermittent crackling in the left channel. Sent them both back and got brand new units in return.

I opened these once to inspect but put them in immediately afterwards - they appear brand spankin' new to me.



Ety ER6i

Ety just sent me the earbuds + two new triflanges. I still have all of the original packaging, including the 2 new filters, 2 new foamies, the filter changing tool, the bag, etc... Since I have Ety4Ps now, I will not be needing these.

May want to change title, these aren't really "brand new" boxed. Such implies BNIB.

Could you expand a bit? I just checked again, and I am definitely sure these are *not* the ones I sent back - new pads, baggied up cord, in the retail box with manual. Here is a pic:

It has nothing to do with being picky. If something is new and sealed, it is guaranteed to be new, never used, and never tampered with.

If it has been opened, one must believe that the seller is telling the truth (not that you aren't).

Hypothetically you could have used this headphones everyday for the last year and then repackaged them as well as you could and call them "BNiB just opened to see how they sound".

Again, not that I think that is the case, I am just using an extreme example to prove a point.

Something is either BNiB or it is not.

No it's not. If something is advertised in BNIB then it better be so or you won't be too happy. If you pay a grand for K1000s sealed and realise when you get them they're open and used it just takes that special feeling away from cracking the seal yourself.

Anyway, I've made the appropriate changes, so I would appreciate it if we could just leave the matter as settled.
