From the looks it doesn't look long enough. For custom SR1 cables one cable guy I contacted mentioned it would need to be "mmcx long tube for recessed socket". But hard to tell from Meze pics. It doesn't look long enough and/or it is too wide.

... and Meze cable has pre-shaped earhook (doesn't look like a memory wire) which is another no-no, you need a straight cable attachment to mmcx connector housing for SR1.
Sr1's soundsignature is nicely between the hd800 and lcd-3. If I had to sell one, or keep just one I honestly don't know which one it would be.

I have 3 different ear pads I use. You can get most any sound you want out of the SR1. I have never heard such a headphone that could morph in such a way and still be musical. I have the stock pads, PT1 and PT1 highly perforated. All different all can really change the sound according to what you want.

Of the pads I've tried I enjoy pt1's best. I have no urge to try anything else at the moment. But when I start pad rolling again, I'll let you know if I come up with something interesting 
I upgraded my DAC from Denafrips Ares to Spring DAC and I'm even hearing more of what the SR1 can do, especially in terms of soundstage width.
You mention the HD800 (a fav of mine) and the LCD-3 (never heard) but have considered on many an occasion. I'm not rushing out to buy anything but those two would be on my short list of any new additions. I love the fact that the SR1 is making my life easy as I'm not in an active hunt for supplementation and definitely not for a replacement.
