After reading everyone's impressions on this headphone, I pulled the trigger as I wanted a new headphone for my office setup.

Has anyone tried the ZMF Eikon/Auteur pad (perforated) on these? Would the SR1 headband system hinge/rotate/accommodate angled pads when worn? Just curious if angled pads would do anything for these headphones.

I've been trying them with multiple pads, including ZMF Auteur perforated lambskin pads - also have two others. Need a little more to come to any conclusions....

By the looks of it the Pioneer SE1/Shure phones also use MMCX, so I might be able to buy another cable from Forza. Anyone able to confirm if these fit?

Hi @reiserFS,

Not sure about Forza but you can also try veclan.com, they do all types of cable terminations & adapters which will suit your needs for very little cost.

Hope you have a great day !

Yes I did, it really helped me to lock them, thank you, really helpful video. I’ve got problems with unlock, but actually I just need to pull harder. I’ve succeed now. Thank you for your help

Hi @cleg,

I had problems too at first with the locking connectors, it just takes practice & confidence to gently find the alignment so the connectors can be pulled free, if you're worried, @Paul - iBasso states any cable with mmcx connectors will do in it's place.

Hope you have a great day !

Considering that you have a good source and digital Interconnect. My digital Interconnect has always been Silver, and I love it. The next question is the synergy for SR-1 ? Given that I am still using CB15 for balanced connections....and that perforated pads.

Best be synergize with neutral amps that is made for low impedance headphones, such as GSX or Dynalo. I can only recommend from my own experiences.

Silver analog Interconnect. The warm signature will further synergize into a more neutral approach , and the SR-1 show pretty well the changes regarding this. It improves all across the bands. So, it is safe to say that the level of detail retrieval’s that the SR-1 can be capable of is pretty staggering for $500. Most observable is The ability to dig deep into the bass and low-bass with crazy and punchy dynamic can only show much more improvements with silver Interconnect, faster speed, tighter textures, which improve better layering and separations in effects. Not to mention about the better soundstage to be deeper, wider, taller. Don’t be worrying about that trebles either, it still will be smooth, sweet, but better resolutions and airy.

I can confirm that with the correct amplifier and synergies, the SR-1 can shine so much in an extraordinary way for $500.

You suggest using silver cable 4.4 to dual XLR (bi-amping) from the source to the amp.
