I got to listen to the IT04 as well. I got to listen to them thanks to the iBasso HF stand-ins at CanJAM.

(I believe these are pics of the IT04. I didn't organize my pictures and took lots haha)

Due to it featuring 1 dynamic and 3BA in a hybrid configuration, it was harder to fit into my ear than say the IT01 but that is to be expected.

It had a much more pronounced bass and low end response than the IT01 with a fantastic thumb for its ability to produce impact.

Clear frontal mids without any noticeable dips during my short time with it and a more open sound than the IT01. It was also decently sharp with instruments and details. Despite this, thanks to its encompassing bass and frontal mids, I found it to be fairly intimiate in how it wraps the sound 'around' you with a dash of warmth.

Had a decent time with it.

Urgggg. April until release.... I guess I'll just order a couple of KZs in the mean time, hopefully that will hold my interest until I can get these.

Listened to my it01s while on a plane and mucho Xanax (I hate flying)today. First time I can ever say I enjoyed a flight. Both were contributing factors. I'm at 300+ hours but I feel like the soundstage is still developing on the it01s. Break in time is kind of nuts.... I generally consider 100 hours sufficient. I'm interested to see how the it04s dynamic driver breaks in and changes the sound in relation to the ba drivers. That might be a bit tricky with the 04, given how long the break in period is lasting on the 01s.

I'll be really interested in comparing this one to the Flc8s, and the brainwavz b400 as the IT-03 has been great but not quite enough to dethrone the Flc8s for me. If the It-04 takes it up another notch as the IT-03 did over the 01, then this thing should be a monster.

I think a limited number of people will be interested in buying it for $499. I also think Westone-W50 will be better choice over IT04.

Why do you think so? Just curious!
I mean, if everyone who buys/demo's a pair comes back saying "OMG these things are amazing! Hitting significantly above their price point!", then I imagine it would be more surprising if they *didn't* generate a generous amount of purchasing interest

I'm VERY excited about the DX150 and the IT04. Really looking forward to seeing how they do in the market! I'm predicting a busy and prosperous year ahead for iBasso

I'm so happy about this choice for the IT04.
The cable on the IT01 was lovely and terrific value, the CB13 is a great cable and probably the best sounding of them all, but the CB12 is my favourite for ergonomics and appearance.
Light as a feather, incredibly comfortable, high quality materials and beautiful to look at

I just expressed my feelings. W-50 and W-60 were sold for $420 and $625 a couple of months ago, respectively

I am highly suspecting IT04 to be hitting many iems` price point around $500, and offering the same sound quality as they do.
