The GR07 BEs have better detail and slightly wider soundstage that is further away/more recessed. In an A/B comparison GR07 BE sounds more natural. However, the bass and sub-bass of the IT01 are on another level so if you mainly listen to hip-hop or EDM get the IT01s.

Hi Ivan, I also had the same thought initially that I'm missing the sparkle in the IT01 like what I enjoyed a lot from CH9T. Until I have used a wide bore tips and the sparkle is even better than ch9t IMO

Indeed, tips rolling is a must on IT01, I did a bit of rolling (from medium black wide bore stock tips), ended up with some random medium wide bore white soft silicone tips + hollow earbud foams inserted inside of the tips.

Sparkle is quite good and bass...

Bass on these is pure pornography.

With foams it's even better than that

I experienced 3 driver flexes on the right ear piece using two different tips. AET07, and some random ear tips. Hope they don't get damaged.

Indeed, tips rolling is a must on IT01, I did a bit of rolling (from medium black wide bore stock tips), ended up with some random medium wide bore white soft silicone tips + hollow earbud foams inserted inside of the tips.

I'm not able to fit the foams, they don't want to go inside the ear canal & I get thin sound. Am I doing anything wrong, should I press harder?

I owned a pair of IE8 for 8 years, they also had driver flex and it wasn't an issue. However, this is a graphene driver so it might be different. I'm also getting occasional flex but think the driver is more stressed during energic play so am trying not to worry.

Loving it so far. Any suggestions where to get files for burning in? Current only using the cascade noise file from Taralabs. Tyia

The Taralabs file should be as good as anything else out there for burn-in.

Use smaller tips.

I recommend experimentation, that's the way I stumble into things, although it also got Z2 destroyed in the end

The red one is uncut foam tip, black was cut across, this fits thicker medium tips.

White silicone tip is a random medium one I had in my collection, it's quite soft and thin, compared to stock. Unexpected bonus for black IT01 owners like myself: white tips and blue and red foam allow to tell L from R easily.

IT01's stock cable is good What? Used it with my KC09, and was suprised with the pairing.

Tips: Using the wide bore stock tips.

Bass: A sub-bass oriented IEM. Sub-bass extends well, mid bass is quite punchy and nimble, but not overpowering. There's a slight boominess, but I figured it will calm down after a few more hours of burn in. Great bass texture, and control for 100 USD imo.

Mids are sligtly recessed when compared to bass and the treble, and yet does not sound veiled, too far away, and it's not lacking detail. I would not call them thin nor thick. IT01 presents the mid-range with great weight and body.

Treble has good sparkle, air and extention. No complaints here. Not too smooth, or too bright.

Details, separation, imaging, and sound stage is... very good? I would not class its technical capabilities within 100 usd.

Overall, a good all rounder IEM for me. I still prefer my KC09 for certain genres, but the IT01 does not disappoint in whatever genre you throw it in.

After 100 hours, I hope the boominess is gone, and the mids will be slightly more forward to be even with the bass and treble. Let's see. Great so far!
